1. What is DynaPoint?

DynaPoint is an add-in for the Microsoft PowerPoint software. The DynaPoint add-in enhances functionality within the Microsoft PowerPoint software by adding the capability to embed and link to existing slides from your PowerPoint presentation. As opposed to the built-in capabilities of PowerPoint, DynaPoint supports a wider variety of storage locations and does not require the use of additional complex software (such as SharePoint) for slide reuse.

  • Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office*
  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5*

3. What does it mean to embed a slide?

Embedding slides inserts an exact replica of a slide from an existing presentation or show into your current, or new presentation.

4. What does it mean to link to a slide?

Linking to slides in your presentation is similar to embedding a slide; however, the linked slide is updated with the most current content from the original slide when your presentation is opened or the reload button is clicked.

5. What types of locations are supported for source presentations?

DynaPoint currently supports:

  • SharePoint Sites

6. Is the DynaPoint Browser really FREE?

Yes, the DynaPoint Browser functionality will continue to be available, even after the Free Trial Period has elapsed. Of course, the advanced features of DynaPoint such as slide embedding and slide linking are only available to registered users after the Free Trial Period has elapsed. Offering the DynaPoint Browser, free of charge, is just our way of saying thanks for trying DynaPoint!
